The history of the Library of the Higher Technical School of Architecture in Madrid dates back to the foundation of the Special School of Architecture in 1844.
Until that date, architecture studies, as well as painting and other arts, were taught at the Royal Academy of San Fernando and it will be by a decree of September 25, 1844 when he separates from the Academy to acquire his teaching autonomy.
In 2002 the ETS Architecture Library was remodeled and expanded by the architects Sebastián Araujo and Jaime Nadal, with the collaboration of María Jesús Marteles.
